Northern district builds charitable house for disabled person

The sponsor association for disabled people and orphans in Dam Ha district, the northern province of Quang Ninh has handed over a charitable house for the family of Mr. Dinh Van Banh in Tan Lap commune.

Mr. Banh, 67 years old, is one of disabled people with disadvantaged living conditions in the locality. As he cannot see anything, he cannot work. Earlier, he had had to live in an inadequate house for many years. In 2013, the provincial sponsor association for disabled people and orphans assisted his family with VND30 million, while the fund at the district level assisted with an additional VND3 million. Together with the support from his relatives and the local authority, his family could build a house of 50 square metres with a total capital of VND150 million.
The house is a present of great significance for his family, Mr. Banh said during the handing over ceremony of the house.
During the ceremony, the Quang Ninh provincial and Dam Ha district associations of the blind presented his family over VND2 million, while the provincial sponsor association for disabled people and orphans gave him some domestic items for daily use./.
