Van Don district presents bikes to poor students

Van Don district Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union presented two bikes to students from disadvantaged families in Van Yen commune.

Every day, these two students have to walk tens of kilometers to school. In spite of difficulties, they still achieve high results in the study.

To sympathize their difficult situation, the district youth union mobilized young people to raise money to buy bikes for the two students.

Over the past time, the district youth union has presented 200 pairs of boots for students in remote areas and given support worth VND1,200,000 each per year to 30 poor students. From now to the end of 2013, the district youth union will carry out the programme on providing warm clothes for students and other practical activities to help disadvantaged students in the district./.
