One of the socio-economic development programs by 2020 set by the central province of Binh Dinh is to make tourism an important economic sector, promoting the economic structure development towards industrialization and modernization.

In 2016, the province is striving to attract 3.2 million tourists, an increase of 21% compared to last year. The figure is expected to be increased to 5.5 million tourists by 2020, including 800,000 foreigners, with an average increase of 15% per year.
So far 140 accommodation providers, providing 4,000 rooms, have been built. By 2020, an additional 60 will be built, helping increase the number of rooms to 7,500, with 35% of the rooms reaching the standard of 3-star or higher.
The province is expected to mobilize VND15 trillion in investment into tourism by 2020 and over VND36.5 trillion by 2030. It will also accelerate the construction of tourism infrastructure, focus on ensuring security and safety for tourists, and increase the dissemination of tourism promotion and human resources for tourism.
All these efforts aim to achieve a tourism turnover of VND10 trillion by 2020 and VND33 trillion by 2030./.
