Ha Giang Border Guards launch “Tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho"

On February 21, the Ha Giang provincial Border Guard’s Son Vi Border Post coordinated with the Party Committee and authorities of Son Vi commune in Meo Vac district to launch the 2024 Tree-planting Festival in eternal gratitude of Uncle Ho.

The event was attended by Comrade Nguyen Huy Sac, Deputy Secretary of the Meo Vac district Party Committee and Chairman of the district People’s Committee; representative commander of the Son Vi Border Post; Party committee, authorities of Son Vi commune and local people.

At the launch ceremony, delegates, officers and soldiers of Son Vi Border Post and numerous local people enthusiastically participated in afforestation, planting fruit trees such as peaches and pears in the forest area, along rural roads in Leo Cha Phin village and the unit area.

On this occasion, Son Vi Border Post also popularized and reminded local people to actively participate in afforestation and forest protection, and not allow burning of forests for farming or illegal exploitation of forests./.
