On this occasion, H'Hen Nie contributed 1,000 trees to Ben En forest from the salary for her first singing performance.
For three consecutive years from 2022 to 2024, every March 21, Miss H'Hen Nie happily goes back to the forest with Gaia to plant trees. On this occasion, she got to admire Vietnam's thousand-year-old heritage trees, revisit the trees she planted 2 years ago and plant new trees.
"Hen's success today comes from the recognition and love of the community. Therefore, Hen always wants to share the luck he has with everyone, from profits from creating content on social networks to money from his first singing career," Miss H'Hen Nie shared.
She believed that in the future, the trees she planted with Gaia and her friends will grow into forests with many large, ancient trees. This place will quietly create positive values for life such as providing oxygen, clean water, and creating a clean and peaceful ecosystem.
In 2023, on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of her coronation, she accompanied Gaia to restore 5 hectares of Lim forest, equivalent to 5,070 trees. In 2024, she will continue to contribute another 1,000 trees.
Thanks to her connection, more corporate and individual sponsors are contributing to Gaia. She also contributed the most trees to the program "Contributing trees to bring the ironwood forest back to life" to help complete the goal of restoring 40 hectares of forest here.
“According to the report of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, a total of 13.7 billion tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions have been absorbed by forests through innovative and transparent forest monitoring. This is Gaia's reason for implementing forest planting, care and monitoring programs with transparent public reporting. At the same time, implementing nature experience itineraries helps develop sustainable forest tourism resources. Thereby, contributing to responding to climate change and realizing the Prime Minister's commitment at the COP26 conference to achieve net emissions by 2050," Ms. Do Thi Thanh Huyen, Founder & Director of Gaia Nature Conservation Center shared.
In March 2023, the month of action for forests, Gaia deployed more than 25,000 large trees in three watershed forests in the northern region, six afforestation trips and nature experiences. The program has received a strong response from the community and 11 businesses and especially Miss H'Hen Nie.
At the same time, Gaia also organizes programs to help raise awareness, promote a green, sustainable lifestyle and empower action for the environment such as Cleaning the house, Donating trees and Donating books, Planting forests. These are Gaia's dedicated efforts to connect and mobilize community resources to respond to climate change and stop biodiversity degradation.
In the near future, Gaia will continue to promote activities of planting and restoring watershed forests throughout Vietnam such as: Xuan Lien Nature Reserve, Ca Mau Cape National Park, Nature and Cultural Reserve Dong Nai and so on, directly contributing to the restoration of natural resources, improving forest ecological functions in response to climate change, aiming for zero net emissions and preserving rare wild species.
Gaia hopes that, in the coming time, there will be more businesses and individuals accompanying Gaia on the path to restoring and creating green forests. All for a greener, healthier and more sustainable Vietnam!
International Day of Forests (March 21) was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly to honor and raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests. Countries are encouraged to undertake local, national and international efforts to organize activities related to forests and trees, such as tree planting campaigns. Therefore, March 21 is also World Tree Planting Day./.
