The festival had significant contributions from volunteer organizations like the Hanoi Association of Youth Blood Donor Recruiter (HAYBDR) that collected 75% of the total, or 6,640 units.
The campaign has played a crucial role in ensuring a stable blood supply for those in need while raising public awareness of the importance of blood donation.
The festival has attracted hundreds of thousands of blood donors and collected over 121,000 blood units since 2008.
First launched by the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT) in 2008, and conducted nationwide since 2010, the event targets to help address the shortage of blood for treatment during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday./.
