Party official asks for renewal in dissemination of external, sea and island affairs

(CPV) – Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Commission on Popularization and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia has asked for renewal in carrying out external affairs work, disseminating sea and islands, as well as land border work.

He made the request during a national conference on external affairs work, dissemination of sea and islands, as well as land demarcation, marker planting and border management

During the conference, Deputy Head of the PCC Commission on Popularization and Education Phung Xuan Nha confirmed that in the context of the world and regional situation, especially in the East Sea, with many rapid and complicated sea developments, and the COVID-19 pandemic developing unpredictably in the world and in the country, the leadership and direction of external information, dissemination on sea, islands and land borders in 2021 was conducted synchronously, consistently and timely; mobilizing the participation of the whole political system and creating high unity.

According to Mr. Nha, the content of the dissemination is convincing, focusing on important political - foreign affairs events, exciting foreign exchange activities of the Party and State leaders, fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, and covering important internal and external messages of the Party and State.

In particular, in 2021, the information and dissemination work also promoted and effectively exploited the positive assessments and comments of the public and international media about the Vietnamese country, culture and people; about economic environment, investment attraction, tourism; Vietnam's achievements and imprints in all fields; and Vietnam's contributions to the common international efforts for peace, security, development and progress.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the PCC and Head of the PCC Commission on Popularization and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia stressed that relevant agencies should increase their ability in analysis and forecast, especially development trends and trends of international relations, proactively implementing communication plans to meet information needs and trends, creating a unified orientation, enhancing the persuasiveness in information and promotion activities, as well as in defending the ideological foundation of the Party, and fighting against false views and distorting statements.

He also suggested that agencies focus on continuing to innovate content, diversify methods and forms of information dissemination, especially the need to increase the use of digital platforms, new media, new information channels, information products by means of digital platforms foreign language./.
