The 8th Europe - Vietnam Documentary Film Festival will take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city from June 9th to 18th.
The festival will present 21 documentary films from Vietnam, as well as ten from European countries, including Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and Wallonia-Brussels (Belgium).

Especially, it will present not only films of the General National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio, but also films from Vietnam Television and some independent producers. Some Vietnamese films produced by the National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio have gained many prestigious prizes.
Many of the European films to be shown have also won critical acclaim, and include winners of the Oscars, and the César and Berlin festivals.
The festival aims to promote better understanding between the people of Vietnam and Europe. It is also expected to provide an environment in which documentary lovers can meet and exchange film making skills, while enjoying a variety of films from different cultures./.
