Activities mark Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day in Hanoi Old Quarter

Diverse activities to mark the Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day (November 23rd) will take place in Hanoi Old Quarter from November 17th to 26th to honour the capital city’s cultural heritages.

The information was released at a press briefing on the series of activities to mark the day, held in Hanoi on November 10th by the Management Board for Hanoi Old Quarter.

Accordingly, an exhibition on the ancient exam system and seminar on traditional Ao Dai for males and its application in modern life will take place at the Hanoi Old Quarter Culture Exchange Centre at 50 Dao Duy Tu street; the culture of Vietnamese tea drinking will be introduced at the Vietnam’s Heritage House at 87 Ma May street; and Ca tru and Cheo singing will be performed at Kim Ngan Communal House at 42-44 Hang Bac street.

Especially, this year’s programme will feature an Ao dai performance by Viet Village Group along with collections by two designers, Do Trinh Hoai Nam and Lan Anh, to glorify female traditional Ao dai, as well as Ao dai for candidates in the past. There will also be an exchange in traditional clothes with the participation of representatives from Russia, India and Indonesia./.
