Da Nang to spend VND7 billion on book street

Da Nang City People’s Committee has held a working session with departments, committees and representatives of publishing houses and book distribution units in the implementation of the project on the city book street.

At the working session, vice chairman of Da Nang City People’s Committee Dang Viet Dung asked the City Institute of Planning to release a detailed design soon to be suitable with the book street, and plan the foundation of discussion with publishing houses and book distribution units.

He asked relevant agencies to select interesting cultural activities to attract readers.

The book street is expected to be a new tourism destination in the city. It will display, introduce and sell books and cultural products, and will be a place for readers and authors to hold exchanges./.
