She is a typical employee of the company. The little woman has an extraordinary energy and creativity in labour. She works as a supervisor for laboratory analyzers.
As many of 74 engineers manage 176 main equipment and 162 additional ones. Ms. Phuong manages the operation, inspection and maintenance of all equipment for analyzing crude oil and products with more than 100 devices, which account for 85% of ISO/EIC 17025 registered devices of the laboratory, as well as for the export of quality certificates of petro and diesel products. This work has high requirements so Ms. Phuong is always ready for and dedicated to her work.
Ms. Phuong said she felt her career chose her, so she was extremely passionate for the work. She added that she is responsible for researching equipment and machines with new modern analytical technologies that are used in oil refining-petrochemical laboratories around the world.
Not only diligent in her work, Ms. Phuong also has many innovations, especially research on the application of Near-infrared (NIR) equipment in the analysis of oil products at laboratory. With more than 3,974 samples of laboratory oil products received from the operating department on average in a month, there are always questions for the problem of chemical use, time of analysis, expenditure for maintenance of analytical equipment and experiments.
The laboratory at Dung Quat Oil Refinery
At Dung Quat Oil Refinery, the application of NIR analysis technique is currently applied to many intermediate and end product lines. The product analysis includes criteria such as FIA, RON, atmospheric distillation, vapour pressure, density and benzene content. Ms. Dung is also one of the female engineers planned to be the company’s experts for NIR analysis.
Turning to her work at Online Analyzer Analysis Department as an NIR and Online application engineer, Ms. Phuong said “This array of devices is completely different from laboratory equipment. The device is mainly installed in factory technology systems. This requires me to study many principles of operation, inspection and maintenance of new equipment; and work outside the construction work that is in tougher conditions than work in the laboratory.”/.
