National TV Channel for Central Highlands launched

Vietnam Television (VTV) and the Permanent Steering Committee for the Central Highlands have launched the national TV channel for the Central Highlands VTV5 in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province.
The channel will portray life in the Central Highlands and the Party’s line and the State’s policies among ethnic minority groups.

Currently, five radio and TV stations in the region are coordinating with VTV5 to air programmes on the channel, including four hours per day of programmes in ethnic minority languages such as Ede, Bana and Gia Rai. In addition, the channel will televise news in Vietnamese./.
