Popularization and education sector reviews six-month activities

The Party Central Committee Commission for Popularization and Education held a conference on July 13th to review the popularization and education work in the first six months of the year and map out key tasks for the second half.

According to a report, over the past six months, the Party Central Committee Commission for Popularization and Education has completed a large number of work. It has performed important tasks related to the 12th National Party Congress and the election of the 14th NA and People’s Council at all levels for the 2016-2021 tenure and coping with marine environmental pollution in several central provinces; given consultancy to the Politburo to promulgate instructions to study, thoroughly grasp, disseminate and implement the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, and promote the studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics and style; organized more than 30 conferences and training courses, including nine conference to thoroughly grasp the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress.

Addressing at the conference, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the Party Central Committee Commission for Popularization and Education Vo Van Thuong appreciated the efforts that the sector has made over the first half of this year.

He said that the commission needs improve implementation of its tasks and organisational structure, as well as focus on improving the abilities of its employees.

He also underlined the importance of innovations in contents and methods of communication and education work in the last months, as well as further improving the quality of press works and effectively implementing the program on nationwide planning for media development and management until 2025.

The Commission’s head asked the sector’s officers and employees to promptly detect and handle corruption, wastefulness and ethical degradation./.
