Preserving the beauty of Hanoi's old quarter through sketches

350 professional and amateur painters from 20 countries worldwide will come to Hanoi to attend "Asia Link Sketchwalk Hanoi 2019" from October 3rd to 6th.

The event will be hosted by the Urban Sketcher Hanoi as an activity to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Capital Liberation Day (October 10th, 1954 - October 10th, 2019).

Artists will be divided into 10 groups to sketch the entire Hanoi old quarter such as Ngoc Son Temple, Ba Kieu Temple, King Ly Thai To Monument, Dong Xuan Market, Tam Phu Linh Tu, O Quan Chuong, streets in the old quarter, Hanoi Opera House and St. Joseph's Cathedral.

There will be six technical workshops by six leading Asian artists in the field of urban sketches, including Kiah Kiean Chng (Malaysia), Elena Kilimova (Russia) ), Alvin Mark Tan (Singapore), and Darman Angir (Indonesia); 10 practical drawing sessions under the guidance of artists Arkar Myo, Akri Mark, Supmanee Chai, Khoo Cheang Jin, Binh Chu, Thuy Duong and Dinh Hai; and three exchanges to share experiences of three famous artists: Pramote K (Thailand), Tia Boon Sim (Singapore) and Khoo Cheang Jin (Malaysia).

The event will open at 18h00 on October 3rd. The closing ceremony and exhibition of the works drawn during the event will take place at 18h00 on October 6th at the University of Science (VNU-HUS) at No.13-15 Le Thanh Tong street, Hoan Kiem district./.
