Schoolgirls in HCM city mobilized to wear Ao dai

The Trade Union of HCM city Education Sector has launched all female officers, teachers, and schoolgirls to wear Ao dai in March to respond to the 5th HCM city Ao dai Festival 2018.

The activity aims to continue glorifying the traditional beauty of Ao dai in association with the history of national establishment and development as well as honour the charming beauty of Vietnamese women through their traditional clothes.
This year’s festival will be held from March 3rd to 25th, offering a wide range of cultural activities, such as Ao dai exhibition, a parade featuring more than 3,000 women wearing Vietnamese traditional Ao dai in Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, art program on the Vietnamese traditional dress, Miss Ao Dai beauty contest, seminars and talk shows on Ao dai.
Latest collections of around 1,000 Ao dai designs by famous designers, namely Sy Hoang, Thuan Viet, Viet Hung, Lien Huong and hundreds of tailor and fabric shops are expected to draw visitors./.
