Survey for pilot project providing radio to ethnic-inhabited and mountainous area

This March, the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs will conduct a survey to collect ideas from authorities and people on the pilot project providing radio to ethnic-inhabited and mountainous area.

Ideas will be collected from authorities, legal and cultural workers, Fatherland Committee, staff from communes' women union, youth union and peasants’ association, secretary of commune party committee, heads of villages, cadres and soldiers of border guard posts and beneficiaries according to Decision 59/QD-TTg dated on January 16th, 2017 of the Prime Minister.

The activity will help the Committee to grasp the situation of providing information related to the Party’s policies and State’s laws, dissemination related to ethnic minority affairs, the effectiveness of different forms of dissemination at present, especially via newspapers, magazines and radio; and collect proposals of localities on dissemination as well as ways to provide radio.

The survey will be conducted in three provinces, including the northern province of Ha Giang, the central province of Quang Nam, and the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum. It will be the foundation of the pilot project in the 2017-2021 period to submit the Prime Minister in May./.
