The Vietnam Festival in Japan 2019 will take place at Yoyogi Park in Tokyo from June 8th to 9th.

The information has been released by the Organizing Board of the Festival at Vietnam Embassy in Tokyo.
Accordingly, 120 booths will be divided into zones under the theme "Traditional Cuisine," "Music" and "Traditional Art". Visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy the special dishes of Vietnam, cultural programs, music, performing arts imbued with national identity. Art performances will draw the participation of Japanese artists and Vietnamese singers. There will be performances of traditional handicrafts and water puppetry, and Ao dai shows.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam said this cultural event is highly anticipated by Japanese friends and Vietnamese expatriates in Japan. Previous festivals have helped strengthen friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between the two countries over the years, as well as mutual understanding between their peoples, he said.
Mr. Hong Nam expressed his belief that visitors to the event will have unforgettable memories and gain better understanding about Vietnam’s landscape, culture, and people.
The first festival was held in 2008 as part of the activities to celebrate the 35th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties./.
