LPG is one of the 10 products of the Dung Quat Oil Refinery Plant, supplying about 500,000 tons a year to the market, accounting for about 30% of domestic demand. It makes up about 8% of the plant’s total product volume. BSR has 12 LPA consumers, including PV Gas North, PV Gas South and PV Gas Trading.

In the second half of the year, BSR will produce 285,260 tons of LPG and sell 291,000 tons. As planned, it will target about 500,000 tons a year from LPG Dung Quat, 400,000 tons a year from LPG Dinh Co and GPP Ca Mau, and 12,000 tons a year from Dong Phuong; meeting more than 50% of the country’s total demand.

At the meeting, participants discussed four subjects: impacts from imported LPG sources with C/O form D, imported products from southern China and directions in the coming time; the effect of GPP Ca Mau on the market in southern region; and proposals related to BSR’s sale policies.

BSR General Director Tran Ngoc Nguyen said BSR is trying to provide sufficient products for partners while affirming that the Dung Quat Oil Refinery Plant has been cutting production costs to consider price reduction for its products, especially LPG.

In his speech, Mr. Nguyen Sinh Khang, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), hailed the efforts of BSR and its partners in producing and consuming LPG product.

“In spite of challenges like market fluctuation, policy change or privatization into joint-stock company, BSR’s achievements over the past time proved it as a highlight of PetroVietnam,” he stressed./.
