Danish company opens new factory in Vietnam

(CPV) - The new factory of Spectre (a Danish company) was opened on September 28th in Northern Nam Dinh province.

The business in Vietnam has been growing extensively during the last years and this tendency seems to continue in the next few years. That is the reason why Spectre decided to build a new factory in Nam Dinh province with 100% investment from Spectre A/S (Denmark).

Key products of Spectre are outdoor sports wear garments for all types of mountain sports and for running, cycling and hunting, covering three layers: next to skin garments, insulation, and weather protections, such as fleece jackets, softshell garments, other technical jackets and base layer.

 

The new Spectre factory is located at Hoa Xa industrial zone, Nam Dinh city, seeing workers from Nam Dinh, Ha Nam and Thai Binh provinces. It not only creates jobs but also brings with it expertise and Danish corporate values.

Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Charlotte Laursen said that the bilateral trade and investments between the two nations is growing strongly, breaking new records every year.

“This is very much thanks to companies like Spectre, investing in Vietnam and bringing products from here to customers around the world”, she stressed.

Came to Vietnam in 2010 as a joint venture (with Minh Tri Co., Ltd), the company set the factory in Thai Binh province.

Spectre is a medium-sized Danish company with its roots going back to 1947. Its production is now based on two platforms in Latvia and Vietnam.

Notably, Spectre Vietnam is one of the few factories certified according to the social standard SA8000 and is furthermore certified according to the environmental management standard ISO14011./.
