Nguyen Thi Hong Minh, FTA Chairwoman, said that all members must have certification related to product quality such as HACCP, GLOBAL GAP, VIETGAP, organic certification, food safety and hygiene certification.

They must commit to transparency in offering information to consumers, with the aim of ensuring people’s health and future generations, she added.

FTA will work to raise the prestige of, and protect and create a favourable environment for, producers and traders who offer safe, healthy food with high transparency standards in Vietnam.

It will also operate to promote the interests of consumers and public health; as well as educate for a transparent food production industry.

The Association plans to build and develop a community of farmer households, producers, distributors and food retailers who have social responsibility./.
