Gia Lai province: Southern Pleiku IZ added to scheme

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has agreed to remove 200-ha Western Pleiku Industrial Zone (IZ) and add 200-ha Southern Pleiku IZ to nation’s IZ development scheme by 2020.

The PM assigned the Gia Lai provincial People’s Committee to collect ideas of Ministries, Departments and organizations to realize the approved scheme and asked relevant agencies to build a detailed scheme, follow investment procedures and establish IZs in line with conditions and steps regulated at Decree 29/2008/ND-CP dated March 14th, 2008 and Decree 164/2013/ND-CP dated November 12th, 2013 of the Government, and related legal regulations.
In addition, the provincial People’s Committee was urged to check, update and adjust construction land area of IZs and correct the land use scheme by 2020 and land use plan in the 2016-2020 period, to submit to the Government for consideration.
The province should pay close attention to attracting investment in developing infrastructure of Southern Pleiku IZ and propose solutions for mobilizing legal capital sources apart from State budget./.
