The event, organized by the city Department of Industry and Trade, opened at Tan Binh Exhibition and Fair Center, on September 26th.

Through the conference, many businesses were given more opportunities to boost and expand products, increase supply output and become strategic suppliers for distribution systems in southern localities in particular and other regions in general.

In his speech at the event, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said after 7 years of organization, the scale and effectiveness of the conference were increasingly expanded. The number of displayed commodities is abundant, while the number of contracts increases sharply.

So far, there have been 2,283 contracts, principle and memoranda of understandings signed; creating opportunities for businesses, producers and consumers to connect, sell and supply high-quality products.

The conference also contributes to boosting the chain of links to bring goods with reasonable prices, quality assurance and food safety to collective kitchens at industrial zones, export processing zones and big factories.

Ms. Nguyen Huynh Trang, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh city Department of Industry and Trade, said this year’s event highlights workshops in order to increase the awareness of producers as they give the quality and safety of products top priority, and it was attended by suppliers for the first time to help connect supply with production and consumption.

In addition, the conference attracted the participation of foreign partners to promote exports to international markets.

The program will close on September 29th./.
