Participants at the event

The event aimed to boost cooperation of business and investment so as to match the potential of the two countries.

In his speech at the event, VCCI Deputy Chairman Doan Duy Khuong said that since the two countries established the diplomatic ties, the economic and commercial relations have been improved. With a population of nearly 100 million people and located in a strategic position of Southeast Asia, Vietnam has strong advantages of exporting textiles, footwear, mobile phone, iron and steel, wooden products and agricultural products.

Meanwhile, located in the Middle East with its main revenue from petroleum, Oman imported 60% of its domestic food and the percentage is forecasted to rise in the near future due to increasing demand of domestic consumers. This is a potential market for Vietnam’s key commodities, especially agricultural products, to penetrate.

At the meeting, businesses of the two sides exchanged, sought and introduced suitable products in order to promote the strengths of each country and intensify trade cooperation in the near future.

The delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oman is visiting Vietnam from April 21st to 25th to seek partners in the fields of construction and construction consultation, interior decoration, aquaculture, organic fertilizer, construction materials, food, electrical products, tourism, petroleum services and more./.
