Over 300 delegates attend APEC 2017 Start-ups Forum

The APEC 2017 Start-ups Forum hosted by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the sidelines of the SMEs Ministerial Meeting officially opened on September 12th in Ho Chi Minh city.


The overview of the forum

The event was attended by more than 300 delegates, representing 21 APEC economies.

It focused on discussing conditions for MSMEs to innovate, build opportunities for regional and international integration, access the global value chain from the start of business, and promote socio-economic growth in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. 

The sessions of the forum will discuss APEC business start-up ecosystems and parallel sessions to speed up the development of start-ups.

The forum offers opportunities for economies to share experiences, initiatives and tools to support start-ups, forming a connective, active and creative APEC start-up community.

The initiatives and content of the forum will be discussed and projected into a joint declaration on promoting start-ups and developing MSMEs to report to the APEC SMEs Ministerial Meeting./.
