Southern hub spends over VND18 trillion on Tet goods

The Ho Chi Minh city Department of Industry and Trade has announced it fulfilled plan of supplying essential food and foodstuff for Lunar New Year (Tet) 2019.

Accordingly, the volume of goods increased by 13.2%-16.9% compared to the city’s plan and by 23%-36% from Tet 2018’s plan.
Total value of the reserved goods before, during and after Tet 2019 (about two months) is more than VND18.42 trillion, up VND612.7 billion (3.44%) against last Tet. Of this, goods for market stabilization are valued at VND7.53 trillion
For the peak period from January 6th to February 4th, 2019 (from the first to last days of lunar December), total goods value is VND10.81 trillion, including over VND4.21 trillion for market stabilization goods.
The Department will associate with other localities to organize a supply and demand connection conference, scheduled on November 22nd-23rd, in order to seek and supplement Tet specialties.
Aiming to provide better services for people, enterprises planned to arrange mobile stores to rural and remote areas, and in industrial zones and processing zones. From now to Tet 2019, the city will carry out 130 mobile stores a month or even 344 trips for the peak period./.
