Famous Spanish pianist Hilario Segovia to perform in HCMC

The first Chamber Music Concert by famous Spanish pianist Hilario Segovia will take place at the Ho Chi Minh city Conservatory of Music on November 30th.

 



Audiences will have an opportunity to enjoy a collection of music by Spanish and international musicians.

The program will also feature the participation of two Asian artists: Nguyen Bao Anh, a Vietnamese artist on bassoon who is currently living in Hong Kong (China), and Artistic Director of the Saigon Symphony Orchestra, and Matthew Wu - flautist and Chairman of the Hong Kong International Flute Competition.

The repertoire will start with Beethoven Trio for Piano, Flute and Bassoon in G major, WoO. 37, and continue with Three Romances of Schumann for bassoon and piano Op. 94.

In the second half of the concert, the audience will travel to Spain with two famous compositions: Sonatina Jovenivola of Amando Blanquer, and El Albaicin (from Suite Iberia) of Maestro Isaac Albeniz. The program will finish with the Sonata for Flute and Piano of Prokofiev./.
