Hai Ba Trung statue inaugurated in Dam Sen park

Inaugurated on the occasion of the 89th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20^th), the statue (a height of nearly two meters with black copper-covered composite) is located in Hung Vuong Square, adding to the group of statues of historical figures, who have merit of building and defending the country so that people and tourists coming to Dam Sen park have the opportunity to offer incense.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Thi Mai Trang, Chairwoman of the Women’s Union of District 11, shared that during the length of the history of the country, women not only built and defended the country and fought foreign invaders, they are also industrious, intelligent and creative in labor, being a solid rearguard for the frontline. In modern times, Vietnamese women continue to rise up to assert themselves.

She added that this is also a historical spot of the district so that the women of the city can come there to offer incense and commemorate the two female heroes./.
