Ho Chi Minh city and RoK increases tourism cooperation

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee, has expressed his hope that the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s new visa policy will facilitate tourism cooperation between the two sides.

He made the statement during his reception for Kwon Young Jin, Mayor of Korea's Daegu city, and Gyeongsangbuk province Deputy Governor on May 20th during their visit to the Vietnamese city.

During the reception, Mr. Phong also said that he hoped for increased exchange of delegations to enhance the strategic partnership between Vietnam and the RoK, as well as between Vietnamese and Korean localities.

Asserting that they were impressed by Ho Chi Minh city’s development, the guests pledged to become a bridge linking the Vietnamese and Korean localities in particular, and the two countries in general, adding that they wanted to increase cooperation in all areas, especially in tourism./.
