The activity aims to respond to the program “Joining hands to prevent Covid-19 epidemic” launched by the Ho Chi Minh city Red Cross Society.

Each gift, worth VND1 million, includes 800,000 in cash and necessities.

The gifts are sponsored by patrons and businesses operating in the district, in order to join hands to help teachers be secure in life and raise awareness about Covid-19 epidemic prevention, which is continuing complicated development.

The district now has 200 non-public kindergarten facilities with 1,500 teachers. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic over the past time, educational facilities in the district, including non-public kindergarten facilities have suspended operation and have no income, therefore, the teachers meet various difficulties.

Secretary of the Thu Duc District Party Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong said that apart from focusing on implementing measures to prevent and control Covid-19, the district is also encouraging landlords to reduce rent price of premises for non-public pre-school education facilities to share burdens with school owners./.
