Standing Board of HCM city Party Committee offers incense to Uncle Ho

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan and members of the Standing Board on September 3 offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at House 67, at the relic site dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh at the Presidential Palace.

The move is part of activities to celebrate the 75th National Day (September 2, 1945-2020).

On September 2, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, declaring to the world the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

President Ho Chi Minh was a great leader, a national hero who devoted all his life to national independence and freedom, and the happiness of the people, while tirelessly striving for peace and progress in the world.

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan, on behalf of the Standing Board, expressed gratitude for the great contributions that the late leader made to the revolutionary cause of the Party and nation.

For the 2015-2020 term, together with favorable conditions, there are also many difficulties and challenges, but under the leadership of the city Party Committee, the efforts of the whole political system; the southern hub achieved important and comprehensive results in various fields. 12 out of 14 targets of the 10th Ho Chi Minh city Party Congress have been completed, of which 3 targets exceeded the plan.

The Standing Board also reported to Uncle Ho the preparation for the 11th Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress (term 2020-2025). The collective promised to unite, ensure the principle of democratic centralization, strictly comply with working regulations, and strive to innovate to create a new mechanism and model to develop the city./.
