Da Nang city on September 20
th held a visit to the centre for reporters in the city. Covering an area of 13,400 square metres, the project includes the media centre, parking lots, the landscape and technical infrastructure outside.
Functional rooms are also built in the centre, including reception hall, security room, health care room, card issuing room, pool pass waiting room, booths for rent and other support facilities, especially the press conference room containing over 1,000 reporters. In particular, 67 well equipped rooms have also been made available for international media agencies.
Air conditioners, elevators, fire fighting and information technology systems and cameras have been installed in the centre. Meanwhile, the capacity of power transformer stations has been raised from 1,000 kVA to 1,600 kVA.
According to the centre management board, reporters’ work will be supported at maximum level, besides other conveniences, including areas for food, breaks, praying, posts and telecommunications services, banking services, tourism information provision and press device services.
Being inaugurated on November 28th, the construction uses a capital of nearly VND179 billion./.
