Outstanding ethnic minority individuals honoured

Fifty-one outstanding ethnic minority young people who gained excellent results in study, work and humanitarian and social activities were honoured by the Ho Chi Minh city Youth Federation during a festival of Vietnamese groups’ cultures on April 16th in Ho Chi Minh city.

During the festival, over 1,000 young people visited cultural spaces and photo exhibitions on 54 Vietnamese groups; enjoyed art performances and traditional musical instruments; tried out making for themselves the products of some traditional trade villages; and participated in folk games.

On the same day, Ho Chi Minh city’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held the 19th Olympic festival on Marxism – Leninism subjects, attracting 505 candidates from universities, colleges and vocational training schools in Ho Chi Minh city. The awards are expected to be presented to winners in May 18th.

Accordingly, the candidates competed on the contents of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s example; the main contents of Marxism and Leninism and President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology; the 12th National Party Congress resolution and Ho Chi Minh city’s 10th Party Congress resolution; issues relating to Vietnamese and Ho Chi Minh city’s history, politics, economics and culture; and the application of Marxism and Leninism, and President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology into reality.
