Strengthening participation of social organizations in HIV/AIDS prevention and control

The target of the project aims to increase the participation of social and community organizations in HIV/AIDS prevention and control, aiming to stop the AIDS epidemic by 2030. 

The Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) is the Governing Body of the project which will provide HIV prevention service packages, including communications, mobilization and encouragement of using clean syringes and needles, condoms, conducting HIV tests in the community and other harm reduction intervention measures in order to create conditions for the implementation of safe behaviours for main groups in coping with HIV, and send HIV-infected cases to health facilities for treatment with antiretroviral and drug injectors to Methadone program in 15 localities. 

The project will be carried out from 2018 to 2020 in 15 localities of Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh city, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau with non-refundable ODA capital of nearly USD6.5 million and reciprocal capital in object./.
