Nguyen Thi That places second at French Grand Prix Chambéry

(CPV) - An Giang province-origin Nguyen Thi That on March 12th came second in the 16th Grand Prix of Chambéry cycling tournament (held annually for French and European clubs) in the district of Chambéry-le-Vieux in Savoie, France.

That, competing under the jersey of the World Cycling Centre in Switzerland where she is taking part in a short training course in preparation for ASIAD 2018, finished just a hair’s breadth after Manon Souyris of BioFrais-VC Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, who took 2:31:36 on a 96 km route (12 laps, each 8 km), average speed of 37.995 km/h.

Evita Muzic of FDJ-New Aquitaine-Futuroscope was third.

The competing cyclists successfully conquered a lot of hills, some even 10% grade.

The Vietnamese athlete will take part in some other tournaments during her three months in Europe. This July, she is scheduled to compete for An Giang tournament, then travel to Indonesia in August for ASIAD./.
