Hanoi to host 16th CPTA meeting

Hanoi will host the 16th Council for Promoting Tourism in Asia (CPTA) meeting from September 5th to 10th, with many activities to enhance tourism promotion between members and tourism businesses in the capital.

The annual event aims to review the results of cooperation; discuss and agree on new projects; propose solutions and responsibility of state management agencies, locality authority, and tourism businesses in order to develop tourism of members.

Participating are representatives from Tokyo (Japan), Bangkok (Thailand), Delhi (India), Jakarta (Indonesia), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Metropolitan Manila (the Philippines), Seoul (the Republic of Korea), Taipei (Taiwan - China), and Tomsk (Russia).

Following a rotating mechanism, this is an opportunity to promote Hanoi’s tourism to markets in the region and intensify the reputation of the capital as a safe, friendly, quality and attractive destination.

The meeting set to open on September 6th at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, No.15 Ngo Quyen street, Hoan Kiem district./.
