(CPV) - In the first day of 2019, foreign tourist delegations flocked to Hoi An city in the central province of Quang Nam and Da Nang city.

At 10h00, the delegation of 12 tourists from Europe was received by Hoi An Express Travel. After enjoying Japanese tea, the travelers moved to the Cau bridge to join special cultural and art activities.
According to a representative of the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the reception of the first special guests showed the concern and respect of the local tourism industry; contributing to promoting friendly images and hospitality of Quang Nam in general and Hoi An in particular.

On January 1st, 180 tourists on Flight UO550 of the Hong Kong Express arrived at the Da Nang airport to a welcome ceremony consisting of art performances, and flower and gift presentation.
The Da Nang Department of Tourism said as of December 2018, there have been 23 direct air routes connecting to the central city, including 15 regular routes and eight chartered routes with 328 flights a week.
With the expansion of the fight network, the number of air tourists to Da Nang was estimated to reach 2.35 million in 2018.
In the afternoon of the same day, more than 2,000 Chinese tourists arrived at Tien Sa port board of the Italian-registered Costa Atlantica cruiser as the first foreign visitors coming to Da Nang this year on a sea route./.
