Thousands of visitors flocked to the Trang An Festival 2019 which opened on April 21st - 22nd, in the northern province of Ninh Binh.

The festival is annually held on the 17
th and 18
th day of the third Lunar month to express gratitude to the Holy Quy Minh Dai Vuong who has the merit of maintaining the border and protecting the country.
Under the theme“Essence converging on the stone capital”, it featured a wide variety of rituals praying for peace, happiness and favorable weather conditions.
Visitors enjoyed activities to process dragons on river and incense offering to the Holy Quy Minh Dai Vuong; artistic activities to introduce the value of culture and nature of the heritage land; performances of Ca Tru singing, Van singing, Cheo singing and art spaces of Ha Giang, Bac Kan, and Hoa Binh.
This years's festival aims to affirm the historical and cultural values of the people, contributing to promoting and preserving the traditional cultural values of the nation.
The Trang An landscape complex was recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage in 2014./.
