Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister to visit Moscow

On October 4th, Japanese new agencies announced Deputy Foreign Minister Shinuke Sugiyama would visit Moscow where he would have talks with Russia’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov, in Russia next week.

The two Deputy Foreign Ministers will meet in the framework of the Russian-Japanese Strategic Dialogue.

The priority themes will be around the Southern Kurile Islands and an eight-point economic cooperation plan drafted by the Japanese government.

Kyodo News Agency said the senior officials of Japan and Russia will soon meet to set a summit between Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Russian President Vladimir Putin in December, 2016.

As scheduled, Foreign Minister Kishida also planned a trip to Moscow at the end of October ahead of Putin's visit./.
