Chinese President Xi Jin-ping will pay a visit to Russia from June 5th - 7th at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

"At the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jin-ping will pay an official visit to the Russian Federation for participating in the 23rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on June 5th-7th," Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lu Kang said on May 29th.
The 23rd SPIEF is one of Russia’s most high-profile business events, and Moscow uses it to burnish the country’s image as an investment destination.
This will be the second meeting between President Xi and his counterpart Putin in recent weeks, since the Russian leader visited Beijing late in April, where the Russian leader expressed support for the Belt and Road Initiative, President Xi’s signature policy.
China and Russia plan to sign around 30 agreements during President Xi Jinping's upcoming visit to Russia.
Other joint documents will focus on cooperation in economy, trade, energy, investment and other spheres./.
