Free screening of seven films on Dien Bien Phu

Four feature films and three documentaries on Dien Bien Phu are screening free of charge at Ngoc Khanh Cinema, 523 Kim Ma street, Hanoi, from May 7th to 10th.

The film screenings are being held together with an exhibition of photos and objects related to Dien Bien Phu victory and exchanges with artists, to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the victory (May 7th).
At the opening ceremony on May 7th, Acting Director of Vietnam Film Institute Vu Nguyen Hung said that the event aimed to introduce cinematic works on Dien Bien Phu Victory to audiences of different generations. This helps arousing historical tradition, promoting patriotic traditions, national pride and honouring contributions and sacrifices of forefathers. It is also an opportunity for the audience to meet and interact with artists who have made films on Dien Bien Phu.

On this occasion, nearly 200 photos on the campaign extracted from 20 films and documents at the Vietnam Film Institute and more than 20 objects on artillery, are exhibited./.
