The celebrations are due to take place above the Thu Thiem tunnel which runs across the Saigon river in Thu Duc City, as well as at Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11.

The activity will be as part of celebrations to mark 49 years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day.

The information was released by Vice Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports Vo Trong Nam at a press briefing on socio-economic development in the first quarter of 2024.

On this occasion, diverse activities, including a photo exhibition marking 49 years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975-April 30, 2024) and the 138th International Labour Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2024), as well as an incense offering ceremony at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial, will be held.

In addition, performances will be also organized at cultural centres, amusement parks, and public sites throughout the city./.
