Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh reopens from August 16

The management board of the mausoleum said that the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi reopens to the public from August 16 after a regular maintenance since June 13.

Accordingly, respect-paying activities for the President and the heroic martyrs also resume on the day.

President Ho Chi Minh passed away on September 2, 1969. His body was embalmed and placed in a glass coffin inside the granite mausoleum, which was built in two years, from 1973 to 1975.

The Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh welcomes thousands of local and foreign visitors every day.

The mausoleum has become an important landmark of the capital city./.
