Vietnam wins top position at Vietnam 2024 Asian Open Police Taekwondo Championships

After 4 days of exciting competition, on December 9, the closing ceremony of the Vietnam 2024 Asian Open Police Taekwondo Championships took place in the northern province of Quang Ninh. The Vietnam Public Security Sports Association won the top position at the event with 37 gold, 36 silver, and 33 bronze medals.

The Indonesian delegation secured the second place with seven gold, six silver, and four bronze medals while Cambodia was placed third with four gold, two silver, and one bronze medals.

In addition, three delegations - JeongJeom University, Shinhan University, and Daekyung University, all from the Republic of Korea – won top places in civil events.

Vietnam 2024 Asian Open Police Taekwondo Championships in Quang Ninh province from December 6 to 9 drew the participation of over 2,500 individuals, including officials, coaches, and athletes, from 29 countries and territories.

Seventy athletes of the Vietnamese public security delegation joined the event.

The tournament is a continental sporting event that the Ministry of Public Security hosted for the first time together with the cooperation of the World Police Taekwondo Federation.

The event celebrates the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam People's Public Security force (August 19, 1945 - 2025) and the 20th anniversary of All-People National Security Safeguarding Day./.
