Hai Duong exports first batch of fresh lychees to Japan

On June 23rd, the northern province of Hai Duong successfully shipped an initial batch of 1.2 tonnes of fresh lychees to the Japanese market.

After being harvested, fresh lychees from Thanh Ha district were transferred to Ameii Vietnam JSC, a purchasing unit, for the purpose of packaging and preliminary processing before being transported to Bac Giang province to undergo treatment through methyl bromide fumigation.

The first batch of lychees is expected to arrive in Japan by air on June 24th, before being introduced to the Japanese market seven hours after their arrival.

Many Vietnamese products by a large number of local business are introduced at the first online healthcare expo entitled “Virtual Healthcare & Hygiene Expo 2020” in India.

The event is hosted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) to provide a platform for enterprises to display a wide range of products, services, technology, machinery, and equipment in a number of fields. These include traditional medicine; functional foods, health care, and beauty; medicine and pharmaceuticals; Medical equipment; normal and medical masks, medical protective gear; hand sanitiser, hygienic cosmetics, and other healthcare products.

The Trade Office of the Vietnam Embassy based in India arranged a booth and offered support for over 15 Vietnamese businesses participating in the occasion to promote their products and services during the fair, reported by VOV.

Approximately 150 Indian and international exhibitors from 120 countries and territories are putting their wares on display, with thousands of Indian and foreign visitors registering for the fair taking part as a way of seeking new customers.

Vietnam Airlines to open five new domestic routes in July

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will launch five new domestic routes in July, bringing its total to 57, a representative of the airline announced on June 23rd.

The new routes will link the central city of Da Nang with Phu Quoc Island in the southern Kien Giang province and Thanh Hoa province in the north-central region; and Da Lat, the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong with Thanh Hoa, Hue in the central province of Thua Thien Hue, and the southern city of Can Tho.

The move aims to bolster the tourism sector and respond to a campaign encouraging Vietnamese to travel to local destinations initiated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

To celebrate the new flights, the carrier is offering promotional tickets at VND546,000 (USD24) per leg, including taxes and fees, on these new routes and existing ones connecting Can Tho with Hai Phong, Vinh, and Buon Me Thuot; and Hai Phong with Buon Me Thuot./.
