(CPV) - The Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) has held an event to share management technology of the quality of petrol and oil products between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The event was attended by the Korea Petroleum Quality and Distribution Authority (K-Petro), the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality of Vietnam (STAMEQ), Quality Assurance and Testing Center (QUATEST)  and the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex).

Since signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on technology cooperation in 2006, K-Petro and STAMEQ have actively coordinated to jointly carry out activities. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, this year’s event was held in an online and in-person form, in full compliance with the health guidelines of Vietnamese authorities.

President of KOTRA Southeast Asia and Oceania Mr. Lee Jong Seob, expressed his hope that the event would help the RoK and Vietnam understand each other’s current issues, and explore more new areas of cooperation.

According to Mr. Lee Jong Seob, KOTRA’s global CSR projects need more attention to create opportunities and stepping stones to foreign markets through technology grants./.
