Vietnam opposes China’s election in so-called Sansha city

China’s election of deputies to the People’s Congress in the so-called Sansha city illegally built by the country and the illegal patrol in the Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago area is a serious violation of Vietnam’s sovereignty, Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Le Hai Binh said on October 3rd.
Vietnamese dishes venture in Rio de Janeiro

Stemming from finding the flavour of the homeland in foreign land, a Vietnamese origin chef named Kiet has opened a class to teach Vietnamese dish cooking in Rio de Janeiro, a hot city in Brazil.

The Department of Information and Communications, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province and Gio Linh District People's Committee on October 4th organized a mobile exhibition on Hoang Sa - Truong Sa maps - historical and legal evidences in Cua Viet town, Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province.

Foreign tourist arrivals to Hanoi from the start of the year rose 25% over a year earlier, at over 2.86 million, reported the city Department of Tourism.

A seminar was held in Moscow, Russia on October 7th, focusing on the situation in the East Sea following the recent ruling of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in The Hague, the Netherlands, on the Philippines’s lawsuit against China’s claims in the waters.
