Vietnamese foods on new stamp set in celebration of 1010th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi

(CPV) - The stamp set "Vietnamese Cuisine", including 04 samples introducing four special foods, has been released to honor the beauty of Vietnamese culinary culture and introduce Vietnamese cuisine to international friends through postage stamps.

This is an activity in celebration of 1010th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi and the 66th anniversary of the capital liberation (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2020)
The Ministry of Information and Communications decided to issue three stamp sets on the theme "Vietnamese Cuisine" 2020, 2021 and 2022, introducing famous and typical dishes of the three regions of the country.
Special foods introduced on the stamp set
Vietnam is endowed with a variety of products by nature, including many special foods and spices to create a unique culinary culture of the three regions, contributing to enriching Vietnamese cuisine.
The stamp set has a frame of 43x32mm, designed by artists To Minh Trang and Pham Trung Ha - Vietnam Post Corporation. The stamp background has a stylized image of Hanoi ancient quarter with brush strokes and banana leaves, which are both decorative and symbolic in Vietnamese culinary culture.

The stamp set will be available on the public postal network until June 30, 2022.
It is expected that in 2021, a stamp set on royal dishes in central Vietnam will be released./.
