Hanoi to promote OCOP products to AEON supermarkets

The fair aims to promote agricultural trade and OCOP (One Commune One Product) products of Hanoi.

So far, the organizers have received registration for the participation of 21 provinces and cities nationwide.

During the fair, the Hanoi Promotion Agency will organize many activities to assist businesses to access the Japanese retail system, such as: displaying, promoting and introducing products; seminars on EVFTA and organic agriculture; tea cuisine performance; and trial experience of agricultural products. 

Deputy Director of the Hanoi Promotion Agency Nguyen Thi Mai Anh said that the fair will offer opportunities for businesses to access the distribution system to become suppliers for AEON, thus opening export potential. 

The organization of the fair aims to realize a memorandum of understanding between the city People’s Committee and Japan’s AEON group. Under the deal, the two sides agreed to achieve USD500 million worth of Vietnam’s export turnover through the AEON system in 2020 and USD1 billion in 2025.

The organizers will closely coordinate with businesses to provide transparent information about products, share programs and activities of businesses, thereby creating opportunities for organizations and enterprises of all economic sectors to improve competitiveness and boost production and business activities./.
