Ho Chi Minh city to complete 8 workers’ housing projects

From now until 2020, Ho Chi Minh city will strive to complete 8 housing projects for workers, providing nearly 5,000 flats and accommodation for 31,180 labourers.

The target was set by the steering committee of the program on building workers’ accommodations, recently adopted by Tran Vinh Tuyen, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee.
Accordingly, 2 housing projects will be built this year and completed next year, including the housing project for workers at the Linh Trung 2 industrial zone in Thu Duc district, which provides 1,500 accommodations, and the project in Hiep Binh Phuoc ward, Thu Duc district, which provides 720 accommodations.
The 6 others in districts 2 and 9, Binh Tan, Binh Chanh and Cu Chi districts will be inaugurated in 2018 and completed in 2020.
Over the past years, Ho Chi Minh city has exerted efforts in caring for workers, including building housing for workers. Thousands of workers’ houses have been built, assisting hundreds of thousands of workers to have stable residence to work in the city./.
