HCMC to organize various activities for overseas Vietnamese on Tet 2023

A program will be organized by the Committee on Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) to meet overseas Vietnamese in HCMC on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Cat 2023 on January 6-7.

It is expected that the program will include offering flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument and offering incense at the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ho Chi Minh City branch; and visiting tourist and traditional cultural sites in HCMC in association with social and charity activities.
Moreover, the delegates will visit river tourism destinations and visit Brigade 125; visit the Saigon Ranger relic and policy beneficiary families and families with revolutionary contributions in District 3; visit Quang Trung Software Park and typical businesses of overseas Vietnamese in District 12; visit Cu Chi Tunnels and policy beneficiary families and families with revolutionary contributions in Cu Chi District; and visit the Hi-Tech Park and the Temple of the Hung Kings in Thu Duc city.
In addition, the delegates will also attend a theatrical program to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the 1969 Spring General Offensive and Uprising; a seminar with the theme "The overseas Vietnamese community in HCMC - Welcome Spring 2023"; and the city leaders meet typical overseas Vietnamese delegates.
The meeting aims to show the deep affection and concern of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of HCMC to the overseas Vietnamese community in HCMC and provide information to delegates about the achievements in 2022, and introduce key projects and the development orientation of the city in 2023.
At the same time, the city leaders will also listen to the thoughts and aspirations of overseas Vietnamese delegates living in many countries and territories around the world; praise and reward overseas Vietnamese collectives, individuals and enterprises who have made excellent achievements in 2022 to recognize, encourage and promote more and more voluntary and sincere contributions of overseas Vietnamese to Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country./.
